WebRTTY (as used on HF) is actually a form of FM, and FM does produce sidebands, believe it or not. If you’d like to understand FM a little better, the ARRL handbook is a good reference. Depending on your transceiver, you may or may not be able to use a narrow filter for RTTY. WebRTTY is a system for broadcasting text over radio. The technology dates back to the late 1950s and seems somewhat anachronistic. Speeds are slow, even slower than NAVTEX.
