Each alt that you plan to level through Northrend will need to be sent a Tome of Cold Weather Flight if you want them to be able to take to the skies at level 68. WebYou can start flying in Northrend at level 77 for a 1000g +the cost of normal/artisan flight training and flying mount (if you haven't gotten them yet.) As for the cobalt set, don't worry about gear until 80 you can (i assuming you are a tank) tank in quest and drop gear just fine. Yep, it's dumb. It's annoying, but understandable.
